Mergers and Acquisition Advisory for Medical Clinics: For USAID, developed and delivered capacity building training on the basics of mergers and acquisitions, including valuation methodology, to medical doctors and clinic owners in Nicaragua. The need for this work was driven by Nicaragua’s glut of medical clinics--most of them too small to offer anything other than basic services. With the hope of creating larger clinics, with greater resources, this work sought to help clinic owners figure out how to value and, potentially, merge their clinics. The training resulted in several mergers, which increased the variety of medical services available at the clinics.
