ENTREPRENEURSHIP / EARLY-STAGE FINANCING (MULTI-COUNTRY)

Middle East North Africa Investment Initiative: For USAID, led the effort to develop a methodology and assessment of the Lebanon, the West Bank, and Israel-area entrepreneurial ecosystem in support of a potential $500 million US-led investment initiative.  This three-month assignment resulted in the restructuring of the USAID Middle East North Africa Investment Initiative, saving the client substantial capital. Beyond the assessment, work included sourcing and conducting due diligence on local investment funds to manage the initiative, leading a roadshow, organizing stakeholder meetings and meetings with senior members of in-country US missions, and working with local credit guarantee providers and banks to develop alternative financing mechanisms.
