NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT FINANCE (GHANA):
Supporting the Post-Harvest Fishing Value Chain: Serving as a subcontractor for USAID, raised $32 million in support of the post-harvest fishing value chain. The work included advising the government, NGOs, other stakeholders and project officers on sourcing, developing and structuring public private partnerships as well as working with the USAID mission, the Development Credit Authority, and the local agriculture development bank to source and structure a financial facility. Other activities included sourcing and structuring a public private partnership between the project and a large, international mobile telecom service provider and ensuring that structures were compliant with local and international regulatory practices. In addition, due to high interest rates in country making the financing structure largely unrealistic to the SME's in Ghana, the work produced a proposal to create a global financing facility in support of the post-harvest fishing sector.
